Sometimes we get bogged down in the stresses of everyday life. Everything seems to get on top of us and we start thinking about everything that is wrong, rather than everything that is right in our lives. It's easy to do when we are rushing from this thing to the next thing but once we start focusing on what we don't want, it is a given that we will bring more of those things our way. A great exercise to keep ourselves on track throughout the day is to stop once an hour. Take a few deep breaths and make a conscious point of focusing on something in your life that you are grateful for. Think about whatever this might be and really 'feel' the gratitude and happiness. Keep breathing slowly and deeply while you do this. Try and do this once an hour, especially if you are very busy. It only takes a minute and is like a mini re-set for the soul helping you to stay focused and balanced.
